BIOGRAPHY
Raquel del Pino
Raquel del Pino (Madrid, 1996) is a light lyric soprano and classical guitarist. Her artistic career has been built on a solid and diverse background in lyric singing, guitar, theater, and dance.
She began her musical studies at age 7 at the Victoria de los Ángeles Conservatory, where she worked with Elena Valdelomar and simultaneously developed her vocal and instrumental skills. She later earned a Diploma in Classical Guitar from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and continued her vocal training at the Reina Sofía School of Music, under the guidance of teachers such as Ryland Davies and Rocío Martínez. She was also selected for the Crescendo Project at the Teatro Real in Madrid, a support program for young opera singers.
Her international career includes a Master's degree in Singing Cum Laude from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels and participation in the Opera Studio MM Academy at La Monnaie (Belgium) , where she perfected her skills at one of Europe's most prestigious institutions. She has performed at venues such as the Teatro Real, the Teatro de la Zarzuela, and La Monnaie, covering both classical and contemporary repertoire.
In 2024, she won First Prize and the Teatro de la Zarzuela Award at the 12th International Zarzuela Competition in Valleseco (Gran Canaria), consolidating her presence in the current lyrical scene.
She has received master classes from Teresa Berganza, Javier Camarena, Ruggero Raimondi, and Susan Bullock, and has extensive choral experience thanks to her time with the Madrid Youth Choir, with which she participated in international festivals in Tallinn and Basel.
With her project "Lunares en el alma" (Moles in the Soul) , Raquel proposes an intimate format in which voice and guitar converse as a single instrument, exploring new ways of connecting with the audience through closeness and emotion.

The Ópera Garage project, promoted by Emiliano Suárez at the Garaje Lola space, featured artistic direction from Miquel Ortega and Pancho Corujo, who selected young singers at the beginning of their professional careers. Among them, Raquel del Pino stood out as Musetta, praised for her self-confidence and stage charisma, bringing freshness and personality to the production of La Bohème. The initiative underscores the importance of offering opportunities to new lyrical voices in a caring and demanding work environment that allows for growth and closer exposure to the real experience of major theaters.
